Compassionate Therapy for Children and Adults
Services
At Mindful Moments, I specialize in supporting children and adults through a variety of emotional and behavioral challenges. With expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate the complexities of growing up with confidence and resilience.
I work with children and adults who may be dealing with:
Worry and Stress: Using a blend of CBT, mindfulness, and EMDR, I help clients develop effective coping strategies to manage overwhelming thoughts, anxiety, and stress responses.
Sadness and Low Self-Esteem: Through CBT, DBT, and EMDR, we work together to support emotional healing, challenge negative self-beliefs, and foster greater self-understanding and self-worth.
Behavioral and Emotional Regulation: Incorporating Play Therapy, DBT, and mindfulness techniques, I help children, teens and young adults build emotional regulation skills, reduce impulsive behaviors, and improve communication.
Life Transitions: Whether it’s navigating school changes, career decisions, or family shifts, I provide guidance and support to help young people adapt, build resilience, and find their footing.
Social and Emotional Skills: Using DBT-informed practices and mindfulness, I support the development of stronger interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness to enhance relationships and overall well-being.
Trauma: Utilizing trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR and DBT, I help clients process traumatic experiences, build safety, and foster healing in a compassionate and supportive environment.
Involvement with the Criminal Legal System: I work with young people currently or formerly involved in the criminal legal system, using trauma-informed modalities such as CBT, DBT, and EMDR, to support coping, emotional regulation, and resilience-building. Together, we focus on healing, personal growth, and creating a positive path forward.
My personalized approach ensures that every child and adult receives the care and support they need to thrive. Together, we’ll work to build the tools necessary for emotional well-being, healthy decision-making, and long-term growth.
Individual Therapy
Individual sessions offer a personalized, one-on-one approach to therapy, focusing on building emotional well-being and happiness. In a safe and supportive space, we will explore emotions, address challenges, and develop healthy coping strategies. With the guidance of a skilled therapist, these sessions help children and adults build confidence, increase coping skills and improve mental-wellbeing.

Why Consider Private Pay?
Private pay gives you the freedom to shape your therapy experience in the way that works best for you. Without the restrictions of insurance, you’re able to choose the type of therapy that feels right, whether that’s individual, family, trauma-informed, or something more specialized, without needing a formal diagnosis or meeting specific criteria.
You also have full control over the pace and length of your therapy. Want to meet weekly for a while, then switch to every other week? Prefer to focus on a specific life transition without long-term treatment? With private pay, those choices are yours to make.
Confidentiality is another key benefit. Since no information is shared with insurance companies, your privacy is fully protected. This can be especially important for professionals, parents, or anyone simply wanting to keep their mental health journey completely personal.
Private pay lets us focus fully on what matters most: your goals, your growth, and your healing, without outside limitations.
